We are proud to be a part of the Farm-Food-Climate Challenge (FFC challenge) – an innovation platform for climate-positive actors in the agriculture and food industries. We strongly believe that a sustainable agri-food sector is at the heart of the European Green Deal and that the transformation of our food system requires the coordinated cooperation of diverse and numerous actors in the agricultural and political field. In order to uncover and bring together common objectives, the Farm-Food-Climate Action Plan was publicly adopted in November 2020. As CarbonSynkCycle we were an active part of a collaborative working process together with representatives from business and politics, and we remain so today.
The Farm-Food-Climate Challenge plan brought more than a hundred solution-providing projects to life, many of which are currently being tested under real-life circumstances.
We are also involved in shaping the “Carbon Valley” project. In cooperation with universities, we conduct free case studies for municipalities, demonstrating the economic and ecological potential of plant carbon.
Within this project, we have repeatedly spoken with leading politicians and entrepreneurs, including Christian Holzleitner, who is Head of Unit for Land Use and Finance for Innovation and Directorate-General for Climate Action at the European Commission. Carbon Valley is currently part of „UpdateDeutschland“, a digital project that combines innovative ideas with concrete challenges facing civil society and public administration to develop solutions for urgent challenges of the present.
